The San Fernando Valley Group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00p.m. in the Reseda Park meeting room. Join us for conversation, refreshments, and speakers

Reseda Park is located at 18411 Victory Blvd., just east of Reseda Blvd. The meeting room is between the swimming pool, tennis courts, and the children's play area. Need more information, call our Information phone Joe Phillips at 818-348-8884, email recreationbyjoe@yahoo.com.

 
DIRECTIONS:

From 101 Freeway: Exit Reseda Blvd go North to Victory, then make right turn onto Victory Blvd. There is limited parking in front of the tennis courts, on Victory Blvd., and in the lot at Etiwanda Ave at the Senior Center. After the pool construction is completed, a new lot will be built.

Reseda Park Rec. Hall, 18411 Victory Blvd. (Cross Street-Reseda Blvd near child's play area.) There are parking lots & street parking. If the Rec Hall parking lot is full, there is ample parking at the One Generation lot, directly east at 18255 Victory Boulevard.

A Political Night

 at the Sierra Club

 

October 21, 2014

Monthly meeting: Barry Katzen our Political Chair will host "A Political Night at the Sierra Club". Come and hear our local candidates for Congress, Assembly and State Senate as well as candidates for other state wide offices. Candidates or their representatives will speak to the issues that we in the environmental community care about the most.

There will also be discussions on any Propositions on the Ballot of concern to the Sierra Club. Any Sierra Club official endorsements will be made known.

There will be Q & As, socializing and refreshments.

CLOTHING, SHOE & OTHER ITEM DRIVE

NO CO$T FALL FUNDRAISER!!

 

Turn your stack of shoes 

 

and clothing into

Donate your gently used textiles and shoes to benefit a great organization.   Turn your trash into CA$H by donating your gently used clothing & other items to Sierra Club.

It’s a No Co$t Fundraiser!!!

Ten percent of our water footprint is in the products we use and the clothes we own. Because cotton is such a water-intensive crop, it takes 700 gallons to make a single cotton shirt!

Recycle those textiles today!!!

Accepted Items are: Clothing, bed linens, blankets, comforters, table linens, drapes, curtains, handbags, backpacks, belts, purses, hats, baseball caps, stuffed toys and toys. Board games and puzzles are accepted if complete sets.

All shoes except ski boots. Shoes should be paired with laces tied together or with a rubber band around the pair.

Place clothing in a large size hefty or 39 gallon garbage bag.

No tape please!

Donate and drop off your items at this location from Oct 1st- Dec 6th
